Responsibilities

  • Be the first full-time hire on US Government BD and Sales
  • Work closely with founders to define long term strategy
  • Take full responsibility for building and managing the sales pipeline
  • Work with founders and product/engineering team to match customer requirements to internal development
  • Drive relationships and engagement across end users, program offices, and senior leadership
  • Create demand and influence requirements for company
  • Represent the company at conferences, demonstration events, etc

Requirements

  • Have experience on many/most aspects of closing a large federal contract
    • Interact with DoD leadership, champions/end users, PEO, and congress
  • Deep understanding of DoD operations, sales, and requirements
  • Ability to understand and communicate nuances of Distributed Spectrum and our technology
  • Can be aggressive and creative - push hard for us to win
    • Willing to bootstrap things, walk the floor of conferences, write whitepapers and proposals, work closely with customers
  • Understand and develop long-term strategy to win large contracts
  • Able to operate in an information-limited environment with fewer well-defined objectives and goals
  • Preferably based in NY but flexible for hybrid work, at least a few days/month required in person
  • Ability to travel often
  • Eligible for a US Security Clearance

Nice-to-Haves

  • Prior experience scaling DoD sales at a startup
  • Prior experience working in the DoD/IC
  • Prior experience with EW/SIGINT
  • Possession of an active Secret or higher security clearance
  • Experience with special operations
